my magic is registered with the akc. he also has the home again micro chip which is registered with the akc who has a country wide computer
system in case he gets lost. as long as whoever has him calls the 1-800 number on his tag and tells them the number on the tag they will know right away who he belongs to. a vet could also scan him and call and then know he was stolen. there are many benefits to belonging to akc. maybe mostly if you want to breed or show your dog. i just have always registered my dogs and for the small fee why not. it also allows them to know about how many dogs of all the different breeds are out there. |
