My husband and I just got our new yorkie pup Jameson 2 weeks ago and I am more in love than I ever thought I could be, but that's besides the point. We got Jameson from a breeder that was referred to us by a friend. He came with all his paperwork (health certificate, immunization records, pedigree information and a form for AKC registration). I'm a first time dog/yorkie owner and am not too familiar with AKC (American Kennel Club). I guess he was registered with the breeder and the registration will be transferred to me for a small fee of around $20. I was just wondering if anyone has registered their pups with AKC and if it's worth it? What are the benefits if any? Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
