| I just sent her an email and I ain't interested in buying a ticket!!!!
I simply wrote: I recently read that you are giving away a Yorkie in a drawing. This is upsetting on so many levels. I am part of a social networking site that devotes all its time, funds, and energy of 60,000 members to the Yorkshier Terrier breed. To see this pup being given to anyone willing to buy a ticket is just wrong. What happens if the person decides they no longer want a puppy? Where will this puppy end up then? I would like to suggest you research a little on the overpopulation of animal shelters everywhere because people get a puppy on a whim. Also, look into the world of puppymills, facilities ran by "greeders" looking to make a quick buck off the back of poor, defenceless dogs. I am certain these are the majority of people who will be taking a chance and buying a ticket for your drawing. I work in the field of educattion and know the funds are seriously lacking for our academic and athletic programs. However, I do not feel this justifies putting a life at stake. Please reconsider your means for raising funds. Sincerly, Amanda, avid Yorkie lover |
