Default This happened exactly to me...

My maltese had this reaction when she was 5 years old. Already having had her rabies before but for some reason she was allergic to it. She looked just as you are describing. I had to leave her at the vet for a day for observation. Took her home the next day and continued giving baby benedryl another time or two. She did not receive another rabies vaccine for the rest of her life. It is very scary!! But whatever they give to counteract works fairly quickly. I hope this makes you feel better that your baby will be ok and I hope he feels better soon. I called every hour when my baby was first brought back to the vet for this allergic reaction. The staff didn't seem to mind me calling at all, they know dogs are like children to their owners. Call them now and make yourself feel better.
