That was my main worry with Molly who is 5 years old, but i decided to take the plunge and on 28th May i adopted an ex breeding female bischon from a puppy farm. She is 6 years old and even in 5 days i have seen amazing progress.
Molly just seemed to take to her straight away, and although Poppy is traumatised and too frightened to play, she follows Molly round like a little shadow.
I know we will have problems along the way, but i would say 'go for it'.
I caught the 2 of them curled up on my bed yesterday, only about 12 inches apart.
