Bella gets oral (liquid) meds every other day. I put my left hand on top of her snout and my thumb and middle finger go into her mouth to keep it propped open. Then I put the syringe into her mouth - only a little bit, don't put it down her throat. Tip the head back slightly so the meds don't fall out. Give it slowly, don't just thrust it in and make the dog gag. Don't make it a horrible experience and your dog may get used to it. Maybe give a small treat afterwards.
