Thinking maybe it is too hot maybe?
Moms temp being higher and fussy pups could be that they are too hot. Is it the kennel kind with the temp regulator? I had a fussy litter and panting mom once and could not figure it out. After 2 vet visit (where pups and mom got better at the vets..just like my skinkids did) I figured it out. I had it too hot in there. But not alway the case..
Your mom was shaking, panting, nipples hard, and fussy pups. If after vet says all is well, do a process of elimination and try turning down the heat, keep massaging and manually expressing a little milk 3 times a day and use warm compresses, weigh babies daily. Keep up the good work but do not let your guard down for even a minute cause moms and pups fail rapidly and without warning sometimes. |
