Awww...poor, poor baby

This may sound crazy, but we had a dog when I was young that was so afraid of thunder, she once ran out of the house and over to the neighbors and ran clear through their screen door and hid under their dining table! She was always afraid of bad thunder storms, but with a mild one, we would get out a blanket for her and she would tunnel under it and stay there (whining) until the storm passed.
