Perhaps you can do a history search and find additional information. I know with one of our dogs who did the same thing, we constantly were watching over our shoulders to pick up anything as quickly as it fell or she would also feel the need to scatter it around. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for writing me back. Yes, my baby is using litter box but with newspaper in it. Well, the dog litter is too big for her little paws to stand on. Besides, she thought the litter was her endless supply of chew toy. The box is lined with newspaper now and it works out pretty well.

It never hit me that she might be "digging" as there was no litter in the box. I think you are right 'cause the closest thing to dirt in the house is her poop. Now that could be a problem.

I did try to get her outside to go potty but she wouldn’t do it. We live in an apartment and do not have a yard. I would spend hours (and I mean "hours" - 3 maybe) at a time trying to get her potty outside on the grass and she wouldn't do it. I watched her so I knew she needs to go but the minute we went out she forget all about her natural calls. And the minute we came back in, she goes. That was not good but at least she did it in the box.

As you can see, I couldn't get her to go outside within a reasonable time frame. After several trails, I gave up on the idea. I don't have that much time standing outside and waiting for her to go. If she doesn't go when we are outside, I don't take her for her walks. So it's not like she was having fun but she didn't seems to care.

That said, I think digging might very well be the cause and I am so glad for your help. I wouldn't be able to figure this one out myself. Thanks again.

Any tip on how to get her go outside? Instead of holding it, she used to pee in her carrier and/or her crate if I had her confined (for house training propose). Of course I let her out every so often to go potty and if she won't I put her back in and try again in about 5 minutes. Still she won't go while she is outside but then eventually went in her crate. Now I leave her in the playpen with her litter box and a few toys if I can’t watch her. And I am back to the pooping playing game. Am I missing something here? Maybe my outside potty training technique needs some improvement. Help, please!!
