Just thought maybe related if it's causing them to eat less. Maybe soak their kibble till it's really soft, and might help to hand feed to be sure they're eating enough, as kibble would cause firmer poops. Be sure they're drinking enough water too. Adding water to the food will help this, also.

Watch those Bad Daddies! Mine fed Peek cheese everyday, increasing amounts till he ended up with Pancreatitis!
