Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking about an oral preventative that my vet recommeded to me.. Comfortis?
Any suggestions would be helpful
My Maddie was on Sentinel and also Comfortis, then one of the vet techs I really like told me the Comfortis wasn't necessary that the Sentinel would do the job and was better because of the heartworm and internal parasite protection. I am in S to SE Texas, but don't really have a flea problem where I live.

I asked the tech about the products that you use externally on the dogs and she said both those products and internal products are systematic meaning both get into the bloodstream and could affect internal organs. I know some people who think the kind you put on the back of the neck is better than an oral product, but it really winds up the same. Just like a medication patch like we would wear, it still gets into the bloodstream. If it didn't it couldn't do its job!! Also, until my Maddie was old enough to be on Sentinel, I thought the stuff on the back of the neck was messy. Totally just my opinion though!!!
