I am a new member and I thank you all for the input on this problem. My yorkie, Ginger, is 8 mos old. We first noticed the problem when she was 6 mos old and yelped when she jumped off a step while playing. She was all right a few second later but it has happened a few more over time in the course of playing and jumping. We try to restrict her in playing, but playing and jumping is her middle name. I have mixed feelings about surgery if that is what will be advised by vet.
