My Ruby acts the same way. So sweet on the outside, she plays coy with other dogs, then as soon as they come near her, she lets out a big bark and lets them know who's the boss. However, she did get a little payback the other day, our cat scared her and she actually dropped a poop right on the spot. Payback's a b*tch
