Hi, Yorkie talkers! Most of our dogs love to eat. Hey, dogs are greedy you know. Like most dogs, Josh loves finding tasty treats to eat. Unfortunately, some tasty treats do not agree with his tummy, which usually makes him throw up on my carpet. Yuck! I started putting Josh in his kennel when he showed some signs that he was going to throw up, because it is easier for me to clean the plastic pan in his kennel than to scrub my carpet clean. Now when Josh needs to throw up, he goes to his kennel. I never intended to teach Josh this behavior, but he has made taking care of him easier. Now, I put a disposable pad in his kennel to make cleanup a breeze while I teach him what and what not to eat. This experience reminds me that dogs are creatures of habit, and they try their best to please their owner. Josh is a sweet dog. Just thinking about the new behavior I taught Josh makes me laugh. Does anybody have any similar experiences with their pet(s)?
