My demi lost 27 teeth and no antibiotics prior per board certified dentist. Now afterwards she was on clavamox and tramadol but he stated it is not necessary to do pre-antibiotics as they give an antibiotic shot prior to dental. Now dd had 5 extractions and he did not give her any antibiotics only tramadol after as he is against over use of antibiotics for this profession. I think on the link on his FAQ he explains it so just wanted to state this as some vets do this and some do not
