yep my maltese lost 27 teeth - get them out as they are diseased if they are loose and do not be surprised if more teeth are pulled as usually the teeth next to the loose ones are affected. The front ones have the smallest roots as well and toy breeds have a smaller bone to tooth ratio than humans and bigger dogs so the loose tooth is a sign there is bone loss which can spread rapidly so the sooner you get those teeth out the better. Make sure your dog has digital xray done of mouth too as i went to bc dentist below and they do this to make sure nothing is happening below gum line as you do not want to only get a couple teeth out then find out your dog has to go under in a couple months for more loose teeth.
Make sure they do blood work and urinalysis before going under anesthesia and look at the link on anesthesia in library on here.
Good luck and do not worry my demi has no front teeth top or bottom and she does fine. I was in tears over but she was only 4 so I learned the hard way and she did not have much tartar either as i was using petzlife gel.
i prefer a bc dentist myself for dentals as the vet does the dental and many times at a vets office a tech is doing it. I prefer the dentist especially with extractions but go with what you are comfortable that is just what i do with mine. Many on here get their dogs dentals done at vets office.
on this website below there is a FAQ so this will answer some of your questions too
