The breeder/kennel I get to play with have Black Russian Terriers and have had for several years. They have not bred for all that many years they have just owned them for a while and now They show them. As I like to do other training and the owner is very allergic to other dogs she allows me to train the dogs in Rally o and agility and work basics as well as get their CGNs. I am to all the dogs the other mother and get to love on them as my own and allowed to call them as such.
I -my knowledge of social skills and aggression come from a 8 year love of one wee girl that taught me what was needed to socialize all dogs well. That wee girl should not have made it passed her 1st birthday nor live full and mainly happy years as she make most peoples toe nails curl with her wild child behaviour. For that reason I extend the rare hand once and a while to intake a yorkie that needs the skill set I learned at her paws and because I never want to see any dog go through her pain do to lack of socialization by the breeder and her first owner and bad gentics. She never should have been born but she is here and I will not ever give up on her until she says she can not handle it any more. What she taught me I have had the good fortune to pass on to others that ask and to a few dogs directly that either needed rehab or pups that I worked social skills with as new borns.
I have not said through this whole thing that I am a rescue I said I have the skill set to help and that I could and would and then place Mindy once I got her ready. That I am around to help with hard cases in my area if the need arises as there are few that can and will take on a biter. I would like to be doing a lot more of this and am ready to do so.
