Sorry to hear about your unfortunate fall. A few years back, I landed on my ankle wrong and heard three pops. It swelled tremendously and turned every color in the rainbow. It was not broken, but it was put in a cast. The ankle is still a little weak other wise it is fine. The hospital should have at least referred you to the ortho on call, but if they are like our hospital, you are better off reading the Xray youself LOL. I would schedule an appointment, just to be on the safe side. I hope you feel better soon, and please, keep us updated.
