I'm glad the clicker is working great for you. I couldn't get it to work with the dogs at the shelter, or Kaji. I understood the shelter dogs, because I'm not there enough for the training to be consistent. So I stuck to grooming them. But Kaji's just different. I don't need treats to teach him anything. He'll take them of course, but I can get him to perform new tricks without any treats. He aims to please!! |
Oh my gosh-- that is awesome!! I honestly don't think Jackson would learn a new trick without food, ha. He is sooo food motivated which is good, but I am jealous you can do without! After he's learned a trick, I can use something else like a toy or something else he wants, but he doesn't sound like he wants to please as much as Kaji

Yup! I agree, that's the main reason I like it.

I never use it once he knows the trick.
