Do the Andis clippers not get warm even after long usage? If not, I may just change my mind for the next set.
my regular 2 speed and the ultra edge don't really get hot, or at least i don't notice they do. My excel will get warm if its constantly used on the highest speed on a large dog with a lot of coat, like a golden doodle or standard poodle. i usually don't do my standard clips with the highest speed but choose one of the middle ones.

I've never held or seen the powermax, just read some reviews on a grooming forum about them. the oster a5 i have held and i just don't like the style of it. i hate those metal round chucky clippers. its just not natural for me to hold.

if you were closer i'd love to let you borrow my ultra edge to try.
