The OP is having problems in the car with the dog so a diffuser won't work. the collar might work because it will be on the dog all the time so he will be getting the pheromones 24/7. spraying the car would probably have to be done multiple times with windows closed before the dog gets in. OR i just had a thought, maybe try spraying a bandanna and then putting that on the dog for a while before getting in the care
ok me again and I thinking off the top of my head...which has been in a car accident of late so bare wit me.

Not sure that it would not hurt to run it 24/7 for a little while to just pull him down in genral and then do the spray in the car or bananna.....also what about even working with him on going out to the car and feeding him meals in it to give it a differnt feel. he may not eat at first inside so work toward it. Toss in a little through a dogs ears music for cars or even the calming one if he is just hanging around the car.
Somehow you have to change his Idea the car is bad.
