My understanding is that if you are brining in a new dog to get it up and going at least 3 days ahead to have it working well. Wish I had the research on that but it is at home and I am away until late next week.

i think that's just with the diffuser.

The OP is having problems in the car with the dog so a diffuser won't work. the collar might work because it will be on the dog all the time so he will be getting the pheromones 24/7. spraying the car would probably have to be done multiple times with windows closed before the dog gets in. OR i just had a thought, maybe try spraying a bandanna and then putting that on the dog for a while before getting in the care
