Funny you mention this....
My nephew, age 23 and his roommate, age 21, went to a kill shelter wanting to rescue a dog. They were thinking about getting a pitbull and walked out with a 2 y/o chihuahua!
They did such a great job choosing the sweetest dog. I'm so proud of them!
Today I spent 3 hours with my nephew. He wanted to learn the proper way to introduce his dog and said he wanted our Guinness to be his first. He had so many questions- nutrition, treats, insurance, grooming, bugeting and starting a saving account for the dog, training, supplies etc., it just came rolling out of his mouth nonstop.
I'm meeting him this weekend. On Saturday, he wants to check out our dog training club. On Sunday, we're shopping for supplies which includes getting better dog food.
