mine have health issues so dex and dd are on a vet food not the best but it works and it is purina ha and demi is on newman's own organic but only because my dex sometimes will eat her poop and he does not get sick off it and he almost died of pancreatitis so it is crazy here so i want to switch her food but cannot as cannot risk dex getting sick.
If i were to choose a food as i have looked into it alot i would do THE HONEST KITCHEN as it is the closest to home cooking. I would do the preference and rotate proteins like cod, chicken, venison, etc in a healthy dog. Some dogs do not like it but it is the food i feel the most comfortable switching too after reading as much as i can on it. In yorkies you do not want to do high protein foods as many have compromised livers so best to stay around 22% protein. Also with yorkies you want to keep them low in fat too and some foods like evo are too high in fat and i have seen dogs get fatty deposits in their eye on that food as it is too high in fat.
