I had the same diagnoses it was a 3-4 and was told by the 1st vet Julie needed surgery. Got a second opnion she(vet) said it was a three. I then called the ortho specialist in the univeristy of pa they said no surgery. unless a lot of pain. She is not in any pain. Then I had a friend that her dog had a 3 and she was told he needed to have the surgery so she did, now she has had nothing but problems from the surgery. Was told by a ortho specialist he should of never had the surgery. I was also told most dogs that get the surgery end up with other problems like arthritis.Julie runs plays and i have not seen any pain at all . I hope I do not either.
