I never worried about Isabel and Harley jumping off the couch or chair. I tried to keep them from jumping off the bed, but they always did it with no problem. Then along comes Moses, jumps off the bed and breaks his leg! So, no more jumping off the bed, he won't even do it, he just waits for someone to put him down. But, he does jump off the couch and chair. They aren't that high (the bed is much higher than the couch). I don't know, I have never stopped them, I do not let them jump off anything higher than the couch, but then again, I never put them on anything higher than the couch (except the bed and then only when we go to bed for the night). I guess it's if you want to take the chance. Moses has not had any problem since he broke that leg; I still think there was something wrong with it when I got him, but I'll never know.
