It's amazing how well they do after such drastic surgery. One of my pups was tossed out the driver's side window into rush hour, on-coming traffic. She suffered radial nerve paralysis, among other things. She was only 4 or 5 weeks old, and the whole litter was dispatched this way. She was the only one to survive. She lost her front right leg and had a hysterectomy (spay) all at the same time. I was worried sick about her ... she had to spend the night. I called all night long to check on her. The next morning, they put her on the floor and she RAN to me, full tilt boogey! I could barely move after MY hysterectomy, and here she was runnin' . Katie never even realized she was missing a leg; it never hindered her one little bit, except when she jumped to the furniture, she had to jump a little higher so her hind feet landed on the seat (because she couldn't pull herself up). You could see the little wheels turning in her mind as she calculated the distance.

Max will do well. All he needs is a little love, and I'm sure he'll get it.
