Default Why is it that...

people are so obsessed with the size of their Yorkie?

I was picking up Rex and Rudy from daycare the other day and this lady stops, turns around, and asks the worker there whose Yorkies those were (I was holding both of them), and then asked if those were the ones that come daily. The worker said yes. Then I put them both down so they could go speak. (although I could tell I didn't like the lady already)

Rex is 3 pounds and Rudy is 2.8 pounds. Rex is 3 1/2 years old and Rudy is 6 months. Both of them, as you can tell, are very small.

Of course, the next thing she asks is how much they each weigh. I told her their weight and ages, then she proceeds to tell me she has a 7 month old that's smaller than Rudy. I was thinking to myself, that's an awfully small dog, as I told her I hope Rudy gains some weight because I think she is too tiny. (BTW-- when I got Rex, the vet believed he'd make it to at least 5 pounds... I'm still waiting...)

Anywhoo, I just wanted to get that off my chest!
