He told me he and his wife had one female then decided to get a male because they thought it would be "fun" to breed them. Then they wound up with a few more (I don't remember if they were females or what - I was totally disgusted after he said he was doing it for fun). Then they all got pregnant at the same time. He also has a female for sale - they've decided this is just too much. I pretended I was looking for one for my daughter and asked if he was taking deposits and he said he would hold her with a deposit, but not for 6 more weeks. I asked if the parents had their knees checked and he said -"oh they're fine - they jump on and off my bed and my bed is several feet off the floor!!!" Otherwise had no idea. He felt that at this age they were starting to eat solids and are ready to go - even after I said that it wasn't healthy for that to happen. I asked about their health - any guarantee and he said they'd all been to the vet and had their first shots. UGH....I am at work or I think I would have come unglued. He asked me if I was interested and I told him "No I was looking for a puppy that was coming from a more reliable source - that I was not comfortable getting a puppy from someone so willing to sell so young!" |
