Elaine - I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom. I can feel your pain.

Try to celebrate her life. My Dad died almost 6 yrs ago and I try to make sure that he still participates in our family get togethers. Odd as that may sound, I always bring up things he used to say or what I think he would think about something. It helps to keep him "with us" and remind us of what he stood for and the wisdom he would have shared.
