I just had Cali who turns 5 next months teeth cleaned Monday. She will not let me brush her teeth. She has mild MVD so the vet only will put her under if absolutely necessary. She had retained 4 baby teeth and 2 were canine's and food was getting trapped so they were getting bad looking. I don't think she will need another cleaning for a few years. My Pixie has terrible teeth and gingivitis. She is 4 and has had 2 cleanings and 7 adult teeth pulled. Even with brushing them they go bad fast. So I think she will need yearly cleanings. My vet puts them on antibiotics 3 days prior and 4 after. It is expensive. With blood work it ends up about 325.00 each time. |
