I just pay attention and see when/if he looks tired. He self regulates pretty well. When we visit my dad's house, he has a fenced in yard with a big inground pool and sometimes we can be outside for 2 hours at a time, and the dogs are typically with us. Whenever Jackson starts to get hot, he goes over and lays in the pool (on the top step) to cool off, and we also leave water bowls out. But he's in and out all day too if my dad goes inside, sometimes he will follow him, or whatever. But I think if we were in a state like AZ or FL, it'd be a lot different. I mean we have some extremely hot days but most we get into is low 90's typically in summer. |
