Toto has started doing that too! We just make sure if we happen to be on the terra cotta that we move over to the carpet! I worry about her little knees but she loves jumping sooo much we just can't make her stop. She always uses her little "boosts" to get up and down from the bed, etc. but ever so often she just wants to jump!!
