I live in Estill Co. Its 45 mins SE of Lexington and its beautiful out here. Lots of poverty in my area but the area is breath taking in some areas. We aren't far from the Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, EKU, Cumberland Falls, etc. Its a much more simple way of life here and there is no pressure to "keep up with the Jones" Real estate is VERY cheap. Several people have taken up "camp" and have bought land out in the county for retirement or vacationing.
