A clip can easily catch the skin...seen that also.
A friend who was showing a male called me screaming to come over asap...she had accidently pinched a piece of skin in a wrapper..well, when the wrapper was taken off there was infected skin...scab came off and so did the hair..all healed and all was well...
This may not be your Yorkies problem, but it is a warning to not leave a band in too long without checking it... |

agreed about the time. this happened to me when Chanel was a baby - it was the same day that I had put a clip in and removed it - but it had caught some of her skin and caused a bump - I felt terrible but lesson learned. She never even acted like it was pinching her. I felt worse than she did that's for sure.
IF anyone does use these - gather the hair very gently-then always watch for loose clips - if they fall out your dog may chew or even eat them and you don't want that
They may be conveinent but sometimes not worth the 'what if's. I only use them after a bath now to 'hold' the long hair out of their eyes while they're wet until till I brush them out and do the topnot right (with a bow)
