ouch !
it really could have been the alligator clip - they can grip skin without you knowing it and these little guys sometimes don't show pain -
in the future - try taking bows out at night to let her head 'breath' - mine always went bow free at night
also - you want to brush her hair everyday (when she heals) because puppies tend to tangle quickly and bows are a big culprit especially when the hair is very fine...
It'll heal - at least it didn't go into full blown infection and I'd wait a while before using anything on her little head
