Molly hated the one time i took her to the groomers, so i've cut her hair since then. I always get the hair between my fingers and trim what pokes through,(hope that makes sense...kind of like hairdressers do!).
By doing that, my fingers are always between the scissors and Mollys skin. Always do it when they are relaxed and sleepy. It usually takes me a week to give Molly a complete trim as i do a bit each evening when she settles down for the night.
Some days she goes out looking a bit lopsided, but at least she doesnt have the trauma of going to the groomer.
