It won't always be that hard he is very young.
Has he been vet checked with a stool analysis? Also is he on a good quality dog food.
When Pixie was that young I use to give her a little wet food in with her kibble and if she wouldn't eat I would let her lick it off my finger.
I use to give Pixie nutri-cal before bed for the first month.
I free fed Pixie bc I was worried that she wasn't eating enough.
Does your little one act lethargic? If so call the vet asap bc something else could be going on with him.
When they are that small it is important to have a stool analysis bc of parasites passed on from the mother.

Another thing I did not let a lot of people handle Pixie when she was that small, I waited until she had all her vaccinations.
