If you decide to use washable pads just keep in mind that your dogs might want to use carpets, rugs and anything else that feels like fabric as potty pads after that. Mine use a doggie door when we're home and a pad at night or when we leave but they don't always hit the pad...sometimes it's the rug.
I dont use washables and I STILL have this problem.

I had to pick up all my rugs... I HATE having bare floors but they would pee all over the rugs and they would need to get thrown away after a short time, they will also pee on blankets if they get left on the floor

I have just resigned myself to never having nice soft carpet under my feet ever again.
