Do you trim all the hair off the ears (front and back) or just exactly what do you do???

I am actually torn about even doing anything to get them to stand erect because he is so cute the way he is. However, the cute little erect ears are a hallmark of the breed, so I have decided to at least try and get them up.

Thanks for any information.

On the inside of the ear you want ot to be clean shaven. Along the ouutside edges of the ear, youu want the hair and the edges to meet evenly. On the outside of the ear, youu want to clean shave the ear abouut a third of the way down, in an upside down V. This trimming will also make the ears stand up more. Get youur self a hand held Wahl trimmer so you can do this every few weeks to youur own dog and she will get used to it..
