It does take time....I adopted a 7yr yorkie who was very timid at first so much so that she was afraid to fall asleep. She was afraid of my cat as well and it broke my heart to see her roll over in a submissive position everytime my cat approached her. Now...my little one is diva of the house and chases the cat. It's like night and day. Patience, time and love is key here. Once they feel they can trust you, they will come around. |
