I adopted a one year old male last year. My first baby!

First thing I did was offer him tiny bits of boiled (bland) chicken breast. He didn't wan't to come near me, but with the chicken and some patience, he started to make his way to the door of his kennel. Now, we can't be separated! He is sleeping right by me as I type.
Patience, treats, and allow him to come to you so it won't be so scary. He'll come around. Also, if he has accidents in the house, please don't yell at him. I made that mistake and to this day my boy gets all jittery if I raise my voice, even if I'm not directing my words at him. I yelled my correction ("no") instead of just saying it in a firm tone.
Welcome to YT! Congrats on your new baby boy.
