Definitely try to keep him from jumping on and off of furniture.
I have a couple of pups with LP and one had a problem a couple of months ago. He fell off of my bed onto his leg. He was limping and crying and by the time I got to the EC he was trying to put weight on it. Long story short, he was put on anti inflammatories and in about 10 days he was fine! He did have a couple of episodes of limping in the beginning. He is fine now! Hopefully, your Elliott will be as well.
