 Elliott is limping
Elliott jumped from a small hill in my yard, and came up favoring his left rear leg. He held it off the ground for a few minutes (which seemed like an eternity) and then began walking on it, somewhat stiffly. He has Grade 2 LP. There is so much information out there about the symptoms of LP, but not a lot (that I've found, anyway) discussing how the dog reacts after the knee slips. This is the first time he's shown any symptoms - he is seven months old, and I've had him since the first of March.
In short, Elliott is running and being his usual energetic self, but his left leg still seems a little stiff, usually after he gets up from sleeping. Is this normal "post slip" behavior, or should I be more concerned? Thanks. |
