It sounds like he might be acting like a typical puppy. Puppies at that age will play hard then crash, they don't just play for long periods of time. I am sure he is lonely if he is left alone all day. How many hours is he left alone? Yorkies are not like other dogs, yorkie love human companionship and they want to be as close to you as possible. Most yorkies will watch your ever move and they will want to be where ever you are. It would be very wise to get him checked by the vet just to be sure he is healthy.
