No, we haven't taken him to the vet. Wanted to see if that was necessary.

what is he eating and how much is he eating? 9 weeks old is still too young to be taken away from his mother. They need to stay until at least 12 weeks old. the problem might be that he is just not used to eating kibble if that is what you are feeding him.
He seems to eat a good bit once he starts to eat. It just seems like he waits really long between when he decides to eat. And I had no idea 9 weeks was too soon. I wish I would have now. He just looks so lonely We are feeding him iams puppy food. It's dry kibble.

also, how much does he weigh? if he's small you need to worry about hypoglycemia since he's not eating well and is lethargic. check his gums and make sure they are nice and pink. you need to make sure he is eating at least 4 times a day because he is so young. also make sure he eats right before bed so he does go hypoglycemic during the night. If he's not eating well the nutrical will help, but you don't want to overload him with it.
I'm not sure how much he weighs, I'll probably check that before we leave today to get him his shots and microchiped.
