Every morning after Harleys potty break I'll have him sit on my lap (note for about 15 seconds tops bc he's as hyper as a 4th of july firework when he wakes up) and I'll just carefully scrape away any "sleepy stuff" from his eyes. I've never had any problems with tear staining and I think that's due to the fact that I clean them every day and his food. Sometimes certain foods can cause tear stains.
