Question Inactive puppy

I hope I'm putting this in the right area. Me and my wife just got a yorkie last week. He's about 9 weeks old and since we've had him he hasn't been too active. He eats only a little but drinks a lot of water. We called the guy we bought him from and he told us to get some Nuti-Cal for him, which we did, and we started to give him some of that last night.

When I take him for walks he's fine, and honestly the most active he becomes is when he wants out from the kitchen (that's where his bed and food is). Once I let him out and we get back from our walks, he just huddles by my feet and goes to sleep. I'm not sure if he's simply homesick or if I may need to take him to the vet (and if I do, do we just take him to the closet one or do we need to call).

This is our first puppy so I'm not sure if this is normal, or if there may be something wrong. Thanks for the help.
