Also the most common age of symptom onset are between 2 and 6 yrs old with Chiari and from the neuro symptoms you describe here my own dog with Chiari had some of these symptoms. Some Chiari dogs have all symptoms and some only have a couple of the symptoms. Deb can you direct her to Bellas thread ? The pred is one med used to treat Chiari , also omeprizole. Have you noticed her wheezing ? that is one common symptom. If you cannot afford the MRI & spinal I would recommend turning her over to a reputable yorkie rescue. ladyjane may be able to direct you to a reputable yorkie rescue in your area. I would hate to see this dog euthanized if she has Chiari because it is treatable. The diagnosis is the most expensive part. The meds are affordable and with treatment she could live her full life expectancy.
