many times GME is diagnosed as a brain tumor. Sorry i have not read thoroughly just skimmed but i see blindness, I see back legs lame, and seizures. This sounds alot of what my friends malt went through in having GME
You need to get your dog with a neurologist immediately. They need to do mri and spinal tap. If it is this they will treat with chemo drugs and steroids and after a year the dog can go into remission.

Due to age that is my guess here - did your dog have any vaccinations recently as usually this can trigger it within 2 months of a vaccination.
